Fireworks burst over the Eiffel Tower, 120 years old this year, during Bastille Day celebrations on July 14 in Paris. The French national holiday commemorates the storming of the Bastille fortress in Paris by revolutionaries in 1789, the symbolic starting point of the movement that led to the first French republic.
