The Lake Champlain Bridge is demolished

The Lake Champlain Bridge is demolished by a controlled explosion during a snowstorm in Crown Point December 28, 2009. The bridge, which spans the state line between Crown Point, New York and Chimney Point, Vermont, was demolished after engineers determined it was unsafe.
