Michael Ballack has made clear that he doesn't plan to give up the Germany captaincy after Philipp Lahm, who replaced him during the World Cup, said he wanted to keep the job. Ballack spoke Wednesday as he was presented at Bayer Leverkusen, where the 33-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal after he was released by Chelsea. Germany's long-time captain suffered an ankle injury in the FA Cup final that put him out of the World Cup. Bayern Munich defender Lahm led Germany's World Cup campaign and said he wouldn't hand back the armband voluntarily.
