Firemen failed to save the more than 300 homes which went up in flames, as officials investigate the blaze in which no one was hurt.

Some 300 houses were damaged in Friday's fire, which was finally extinguished on Saturday, leaving 600 families homeless. While authorities are still investigating the cause, firefighters had a hard time going to the area due to roadworks and flooding, Malabon Fire Station Chief Investigator Alvin Torres said.
