When an episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' starts with the three quotes "I always wanted to wash your hair," "Go hug yourself" and "You smell like pee" you just know it's going to be interesting. The combination of the lightning patients and the parallel to the post-shooting victims was an interesting take on the whole "we survived" storyline.
This episode was the first in a while that I really liked all the song choices. The music playing when Cristina and Meredith were laying on the operating room floor was perfect and tugged at my heartstrings.
Meredith was on the ball, actually leading the episode. She didn't need to be doing surgery: All her interactions between Alex, Lexie, April, Derek, Owen and Cristina proved that she is still the string that holds all these characters together.
